How to use in Discord

Copy any <t:EPOCH:FLAG> code and paste it directly into any Discord message box. Discord will automatically render it as a dynamic timestamp for every user in their own timezone.

Example: typing <t:1717027200:F> renders as Thursday, May 30, 2024 9:00 AM for each viewer in their local time.

About Discord Timestamps

Discord introduced dynamic timestamps in 2021. Using the format <t:EPOCH:FLAG> in any message, Discord automatically renders the time in each viewer's local timezone. This eliminates timezone confusion in global communities and servers.

Use relative time for reminders

The R format is useful when the exact timezone matters less than urgency. It lets each Discord client render phrases such as in 2 hours or 3 days ago while still using the same Unix timestamp behind the message.

Preview before posting

Discord renders timestamps in each viewer's local timezone. Preview the UTC value and at least one local display before sharing launch times, event deadlines, moderation logs, or announcements across international servers.
